Undergraduate Research Opportunities

If you're an undergraduate student looking for research opportunities, consider reaching out to us for a stint of 6 months or more to enhance your research expertise.

We're especially keen to connect with students eager to hone skills in large-scale data analysis. Please note that we're not looking for projects that require significant new data gathering.

Consistent with our commitment to equality and diversity, we can only accept undergraduate researchers if they come with funding or if the research aligns with their academic program.

To express your interest, please send an email to Dr Andres Roman-Urrestarazu, including your CV and a letter detailing your reasons for wanting to collaborate with us and outlining your specific interests to aer56@cam.ac.uk.

Graduate Research: MPhil & PhD Programs

We are open to receiving applications for both our one-year MPhil program and the longer-term PhD degree. Our primary interest lies in prospective applicants keen on pursuing research within any of the primary themes our group focuses on. Please note: For PhD/MPhil positions, unless specifically mentioned, we do not offer direct funding. That said, there are numerous funding opportunities both within the university and from external sources that we recommend you explore.

For most funding from Cambridge (details at: Cambridge Student Funding), the deadline is in early December of the year before your intended PhD commencement. We advise reaching out to us no later than October with your CV and a draft research proposal.

For comprehensive information about the PhD application and details on drafting the research proposal, refer to the provided link.

If you're interested in joining us, please forward your CV and research proposal to Dr Andres Roman-Urrestarazu to aer56@cam.ac.uk
